In some cases, your iOS device might have trouble establishing a network connection. If you are unable to connect to the internet while using Saily eSIM, try troubleshooting the issue by following the steps below.
Check if the plan was activated
To make sure that your plan is active, follow the steps in our how to activate your Saily eSIM article.
Disconnect from the Wi-Fi
- Go to settings:
- Select Wi-Fi:
- Turn off Wi-Fi
Check if eSIM is enabled and chosen as the preferred
- Go to settings:
- Select mobile service (It might be called cellular on some iPhone devices)
- Click on the installed eSIM (in this case, business):
- Check if turn on this line is enabled:
- Go back to the mobile service (alternatively cellular) settings.
- Click mobile data (alternatively cellular data):
- Select the installed eSIM (in this case business):
Check if Data Roaming is enabled
- Go to settings:
- Select mobile service (It might be called cellular on some iPhone devices):
- Click on the installed eSIM (in this case business):
- Enable data roaming:
Reboot your iOS device
- Press and hold the volume down button + side button until the power-off slider appears:
- Drag the slider and turn your iOS device off.
- Turn your device back on by holding the right side button until you see the Apple logo:
Disable 5G settings
- Go to settings:
- Select mobile service (It might be called cellular on some iPhone devices):
- Click on the installed eSIM (in this case business):
- Click voice and data:
- Here, you can unselect 5G and enable 4G, 3G or LTE:
Enable and disable Airplane Mode
- Go to settings:
- Turn Airplane Mode on:
- Wait 15 seconds.
- Turn Airplane Mode off.
Configure APN (Access Point Name) settings
- Go to settings:
- Select mobile service (It might be called cellular on some iPhone devices):
- Click on the installed eSIM (in this case business):
- Tap mobile data network:
- For both APN settings, input truphone.com:
- Leave other fields blank.
Reset your network settings
- Go to settings:
- Select general:
- Tap transfer or reset iPhone:
- Tap reset:
- Select reset network settings:
Select Network Operator manually
- Go to settings:
- Select mobile service (It might be called cellular on some iPhone devices):
- Tap on the installed eSIM (in this case, business):
- Click network selection:
- Disable the automatic selection:
- Select 1GLOBAL, which is provided by Saily. If you are unsure which one it is, you can contact Saily Customer Support Service for support.
