How Saily data plans work: total vs daily data, Unlimited plans, and speed limits

This article explains how much data your Saily plan includes, how it is counted, and how Unlimited plans work.

Standard data plans: one total for the whole validity period

A standard data plan gives you one total amount of data. You can use it anytime during the plan's validity period. It is not a daily amount.

  • When the validity period ends, any remaining data expires.
  • To see how much data you have left, check your plan in the Saily app.

Unlimited plans

Unlimited plans give you unlimited data for the duration you choose. The price depends on that duration.

  • Each day you get a high-speed allowance. After you use it, your speed drops to about 1 Mbps for the rest of that day.
  • The daily high-speed allowance resets at midnight in your eSIM's local time.
  • To get full speed again before the reset, buy a regular (non-unlimited) plan for the same destination.
  • You can't share unlimited plans with other people in the Saily app.

Why your data counter may not match

The data shown on your phone may differ from the data shown in the Saily app. This is normal. Common reasons:

  • Your phone's data counter was last reset on a different date from when your plan started.
  • Your phone also counts data from other SIMs or Wi-Fi.
  • Your phone may not show all background traffic, and it may round numbers differently.

Saily counts all data that passed through the Saily network during your plan's active period. To reduce data use, turn off background services.
